About The Instructors

Dorothy Coulter
It is my intention to open and teach a Real Estate School for the purpose of educating students who are wanting to pass the California State Licensee Exam.  The school will offer live weekly classes with me, a licensed and active Real Estate Salesperson.  I work for Century 21 Alpha (DBA Alpha Factors) and have worked with the company since I obtained my license in February of 2007.  Since 2010, I have worked full-time in the Real Estate industry.  I have represented approx. 40 sellers and approx. 65 buyers in my career.  My listings have been Single Family homes, Commercial and mixed-use property, Vacant land, Condos/Townhouses, Multi-family, New Construction and Manufactured Homes.  There have been no violations, complaints or legal actions filed against me in my career.

I was a part of the #1 Real Estate team for Century 21 for 2 years and during those years, we sold REO, short-sales and other distressed properties.  I was responsible for cash-for-keys, exterior and interior inspections and BPO’s.  I also hold an EPRO® designation.

I have maintained my board affiliations, license, and continuing education consistently since 2009.  My broker has supported my activities in recruiting and mentoring new agents. As an educator, I intend to continue to teach students what it takes to pass the test and act legally and with integrity as a contributing member of our Real Estate industry.

On my team, I have another instructor who will work with me and be alternate instructor.  Her name is Ramona Heimlich CALBre#01186740 and she has 21 years of Real Estate experience. Ramona also has a BA and teaching certificate and has 30 years of teaching experience in CA public schools, parks and recreation, art studios, art academies, private classes, tutoring and coaching. We will be maintaining the syllabus, class modules and manage required changes to the school as a team.

Our school will be over-seen by our Broker, Ed Zimbrick.  Ed is our mentor, president, and constant advisor for our transactions.  He has maintained his license for nearly 42 years, along with continuing education, multiple board affiliations, Century 21 requirements, etc.  His offices have multiple awards for customer service excellence and gross commissions and is recognized in our area as one of the elite, and long-standing offices.

We are opening our school to provide a LIVE licensing training opportunity to students who prefer to have an experienced, interactive teacher.  Because of our daily work in the industry, we can offer excellence and real-world situations to make our education memorable and applicable.

enjoyed working with her positive attitude as a team. We want to make the school experience
to be enjoyable, educating, and invaluable.

As a team member of the live real estate school, I wish to bring my teaching experience of
over thirty years to the school. I have taught in Santa Clara public schools, and presently part
time coaching adult education for Los Gatos -Saratoga Park and Recreation, and University Art
of San Jose. I did graduate from Chico State with a B.A. and a teaching certificate. I am always
taking classes to better my teaching skills. I recently graduated from the San Jose Museum of
Art docent program. Dorothy and I have taken many workshops this last year together to
prepare and strategy for the real estate school. We are competent speakers with pleasant
disposition, and patience to make the live school interacting, rewarding and exciting.
